Blox Fruits Secrets: Sea 1 Quests and the 39/40 Status
**Forty announced does not mean forty solved.** The checked community catalog lists **39 Sea 1 tasks across 13 islands**. BFFR supplies usable routes for 38, marks Awakened Chef’s instructions incomplete, and leaves the announced 40th unlocated.[S] Use the island list to find a missing objective, then check its trigger. **A listed task is not proof that your character has earned its star.** | Count | What it means | |---|---| | 40 | Announced total cited by the reviewed guides | | 39 | Named tasks in the current island catalog | | 38 | Tasks with usable instructions in BFFR’s reviewed account | | 1 listed but unresolved | Awakened Chef’s complete trigger/recipe | | 1 still unplaced | The announced 40th Secret |

Read the evidence label before following a route
Reported means a linked community guide describes the route. It does not mean WeirdThings tested it or independently confirmed every trigger. Unresolved means the checked sources do not supply a reliable completion sequence. No task is labeled “Confirmed” on the strength of a copied guide alone.
The table headings use current names where the sources provide them. Descriptive aliases help match older guides without counting a renamed task twice.
Secret, star, Secret Level and reward are different things
A Secret is the objective; a star tracks its completion. Secret Levels are the progression allowance associated with Secrets: the mechanics catalog describes five additional levels/cap points per Secret. That is separate from incidental money, experience, items or an awakened-boss reward.[LV]
Check the completion dialogue and claim available rewards from the relevant NPC. Do not infer an exact cash/item reward from the word “Secret”; the routes below promise no unverified reward amounts.

Where is the 40th Secret?
The checked catalog does not establish a usable 40th route. Awakened Chef is already listed; counting it twice would not resolve the gap.[S]
A headline saying “all 40” is not enough: the guide needs to name the additional task and show its trigger, completion and star. This page does not claim that missing evidence exists.
What does the Secrets Master do?
The Secrets Master is at Middle Town. The dedicated NPC guides describe him as a way to learn the upcoming awakened-boss event; use that information before traveling rather than waiting for a normal boss respawn. A story/dialogue unlock tied to collected stars is not proof that a separate 40th route has been found.[SM]
Why did my Secret or star not register?
Check the task-specific step first: a prisoner needs its confrontation prompt; an NPC task may require returning the object; an awakened boss needs its event trigger. A route that has no active event is not necessarily broken.
Treat your completed-star count, unclaimed Secret Levels and the public catalog count as three different checks. Source descriptions are not a live readout of your account. Avoid promising that restarting, repeating a kill or reaching a level cap proves the missing Secret is solved.
