WeirdThings looks for unfamiliar words, concepts, entities and strange events that suddenly enter public attention through puzzles, games, search trends and other verified signals.
Discovery Source
We begin with a verified discovery source. Google Trends is a demand discovery signal, not evidence for factual claims.
Raw Query / Source Thing
We preserve the raw query or source Thing separately from the public explanation.
Source Coverage Check
We check whether the signal is specific, current and useful enough to investigate.
Search Generation
We generate likely searches people use when they need an explanation, without manufacturing demand.
Click Necessity
We ask whether a useful answer needs context beyond an ordinary definition or search snippet.
Query Envelope
We define the question boundaries so the page answers one stable Thing instead of mixing unrelated intents.
Evidence
Independent Evidence must support factual claims, including claims discovered through Google Trends or another demand signal.
Thing Page
We publish one canonical page per Thing, update it when the Thing resurfaces and preserve useful verified history.
