Stuck in the WARDOGS Login Queue—or Getting Access Denied?

Check the client update first. BULKHEAD’s launch hotfix instructed players to close WARDOGS, download the update and relaunch. Players would then return to the login queue while admission happened in controlled batches.

That means “never restart” is not the right blanket advice. Install a required update; do not confuse that with repeatedly restarting an already-updated game in search of a shorter queue.

This page explains a documented launch incident and the published instruction. It is not a live server-health monitor.

Why now

WARDOGS’ September 10 launch hotfix instructed players to update and rejoin the queue. That makes early blanket advice to ‘never restart’ incomplete.

Why can I finish the queue and still fail to connect?

Treat these as separate steps: waiting for entry, signing in, and joining a game server. Finishing the first does not establish that the others completed.

An Access Denied message alone does not identify one universal cause. The cited hotfix addressed join failures, players being kicked and long queues; it did not establish that every authentication error has the same explanation or that all such errors were resolved.

Do not read the message as proof of a ban, a broken installation or a total outage without further evidence.

More context

Context

Does a long queue mean the servers are down?

No—not by itself. A queue tells you that entry is being managed or that you are waiting; it is not a measurement of every server’s health. Conversely, other people playing does not prove that your sign-in path is working.

Use the latest developer notice to distinguish a known incident from an isolated error. Do not rely on a permanently green “online” label or an old launch-day queue number.

Restart, wait or reinstall?

Update when an official instruction requires it. Once the update is installed, follow current queue instructions rather than repeatedly relaunching. A large queue number by itself is not a reason to reinstall the game.

There is no fixed waiting-time estimate on this page. The useful next step depends on the official instruction and the exact screen you are seeing, not a guessed countdown.
