Steam Frame Waitlist vs. Reservation Queue: What Does Your Email Mean?
Steam Frame uses two different post-lottery statuses: Reservation Queue and Waitlist. If Valve says you are in the Reservation Queue, you were selected into the purchase queue and may receive a purchase email as units become available. If your email says Waitlist, you were not selected into the initial reservation queue and Valve will contact you when more units become available. The first purchase emails begin September 18, 2026. Once Valve sends a purchase link, it expires after 72 hours.

What does Reservation Queue mean?
Reservation Queue means you were selected into the initial purchase queue. Valve’s Limited Drop terms say selected users are added to the reservation queue. As units become available, Valve sends people in that queue an email with the option to purchase.
What does Waitlist mean?
Waitlist means you were not selected into the initial reservation queue. Valve says waitlisted users will be contacted when more units become available. The waitlist does not give a specific purchase date.
When do Steam Frame purchase emails start?
Valve says the first batch of purchase emails starts Friday, September 18, 2026. Emails are sent as units become available to people in the reservation queue.
How long do you have to buy?
